Pack 250 Member Checklist:

- Adult and Scout Membership Application (BSA online registration)*
- Pay Pack 250 dues — $150/year*^
- payments made by check, payable to Cub Scout Pack 250 and may be given to the Treasurer or Membership Chair
- Dues are expected to be paid in September
- Parent information form*^
- Complete the Scout Expectation Contract*^
- Sign up for Volunteer opportunities*^
- Get your scout’s Official Cub Scout uniform and sew on patches*
- Get Cub Scout Handbook for your scout’s rank and review with your scout*^
- Read the Parent Guide at the beginning of the Cub Scout Handbook*^
- Work with your Scout throughout the year to sign off achievements/requirements in the Handbook*^
- Work with den leaders to ensure your Cub Scout’s achievements are properly recorded (scoutbook.com)*^
- Attend monthly pack meetings with your Scout *^
- Attend monthly den meetings and ACTIVELY participate with your Scout *^
- Take Youth Protection Training online (give den leader copy of completion certificate). Must be taken once every two years. Mandatory for Leader’s and volunteers. *
- Read the Pack 250 Parent handbook
- Visit the Pack 250 website and check out the calendar of activities
- Talk with den leader about helping at a den meeting or activity
- Talk with den leader/Cubmaster about supporting one pack activity (i.e., Pinewood Derby, Family Campout, Cubanapolis, etc.)
Uniform Guidelines and Information:
Your scout will need a hat, kerchief, slide and handbook. He will also need a blue Cub Scout shirt (tan for Webelos 2) with patches: NCAC Council, red pack #’s, ‘250’, world crest, den #
Uniform items may be purchased online at the BSA Scout Shop site or at the National Capital Area Scout Store (click here for location and hours)
Scouts are not required to purchase the cub scout pants, instead, they can wear jeans or other navy blue pants/shorts.
